Our Space
We share museum space with a great organization, Northwest Museum of Legends and Lore, www.seattlechatclub.org.
We are also in a great building: www.inscapearts.org.
This is an old, huge government facility a group of investors decided to buy and renovate as affordable space for nonprofits and artists, and it is incredible. The museum we share space with found somthing they could afford, and it works. We moved in around November of 2010. We are a bit crowded and cramped as it is just one room, but there is potential to grow and move to a bigger space in the building in the future.
Still under renovation, the building is about half full already and we can see the progress being made. It is the former Assessor's office, where they melted down gold on the fourth floor and ships coming to port paid their tariffs at that office. It was also a Federal Court House, with three jail cells still left on the third floor and an Immigration and Naturalization office. Immigrants, mostly Asian, stayed in dorms in the building until they got their citizenship.
New life is being breathed into it and it is a great old, big building to wonder around in!

Thanksgiving at the museum.
